Cable Pass through

Admin Pocket

Enhanced Webbing

Our design features enhanced webbing that provides unparalleled versatility for placard adjustments and Push-to-Talk (PTT) management. This additional webbing also seamlessly integrates with both our breaching lanyard and the Recondite Strap kit, enabling easy self-access and rapid disconnection capabilities when used with the MEPC.

Shoulder Straps

Equipped with adjustable extended shoulder straps, the plate bag on our plate carrier ensures both comfort and adaptability for wearers of all sizes. These straps feature a dual-purpose design, allowing for efficient cable pass-through and the ability to tuck away excess strap material into the plate bag. Removable QASM Buckles

Removable QASM buckles on the MEPC users to quickly and easily attach or detach gear and accessories as needed. These buckles offer a convenient and customizable way for users to secure their Placard and accessories to the MEPC, making it adaptable for various missions and loadouts without the need for complex reconfigurations.

Cummerbund Flap

This flap on the MEPC serves as an additional layer of security for the cummerbund. It helps keep the cummerbund in place, ensuring a snug and stable fit for the wearer. This added feature prevents the cummerbund from shifting and peeling during movement, enhancing overall comfort and safety.

Loop Field

Our plate carrier is engineered for adaptability, featuring a laser-cut loop field on the front for effortless attachment of EUD boards, morale patches, or identifiers. The rear comes equipped with a standard MOLLE loop field, adding another layer of customization. Both loop fields are crafted for a secure fit with hook-fastened patches, ensuring quick and tailored identification for any mission requirements.

Low Profile Drag Handle

Our plate carrier features a low-profile, padded drag handle, constructed from reinforced tubular webbing. Seamlessly integrated into the plate bag, this robust handle is designed for quick and secure extraction in emergency scenarios, without adding unnecessary bulk or snag hazards.

Mission essential Plate Carrier

The Mission Essential Plate Carrier (MEPC) keeps a minimalist design at its heart while packing in key features that enhance usability. 500D Cordura construction gives the carrier strength while keeping weight to a minimum. Carrier sizing matches plate size, not user size. Each plate bag will fit up to a 1.2" thick combination of plate and backer.

Plate Variability: Keep in mind that plate dimensions can differ by ±1" between manufacturers.

8" x 10": Designed for 8" x 10" plates (SAPI, ESAPI, Shooter, Swimmer)

Proper Fitment & Placement

Avoid Oversizing: Oversizing can compromise your shooting stance and mobility due to extra weight.

EODFISH review put me on this one. Lots of fine carriers out there, I'm glad I ended up with this one. Top quality craftsmanship and materials. It's not totally slick but modification is pretty open ended and it plays well with most placards and cummerbunds and their prices are fair for the quality. Thanks DM!

This plate carrier is phenomenal. Quality of materials is excellent and the modularity and customization options make this one of the more versatile carriers on the market. Run it in a minimalist setup or load it out, it’ll handle the job wither way.

You quite literally cannot find a better built, more comfortable, or more affordable carrier than the MEPC. It competes with all the “top of the line” carriers like the JPC 2.0 extremely well.

I have been running this PC for little over 2 years now full time. My PC is holding up against constant hard use and is worn every day I work. It goes though constant abuse of being on the job not to mention the weekly training it's worn in. If my PC fell apart today I would give it funeral and bury it. ( It's been a abused that much) I'm my career I've used many different brands and this is my favorite. I stumbled upon the brand when I met the owner of DM at a training class in Ohio a couple years ago. The people at DM test their products first hand and take their training as serious as their gear. DM is a American company composed of great Americans, who make great gear. If your looking for a versatile PC that will hold up in the field I recommend Defense Mechanisms.

Amazing product! The fit and finish is top notch. The XL fits an 11x14 plate with plenty of room.

Out of everything, the only problem i had was the shoulder straps and the cable management sleeves. Trying to get the cable sleeves on was a little hard but once on its very nice. Plate size is great! The strap for the plate in the carrier is like the one on agilites K19 and helps with the weight of the plates. Overall i like the MEPC.

I’ve used a few different styles of plate carriers and this is the first one that falls into the scalable minimalist carriers. DM hit the ball out of the park with this one as far as comfortability goes. I don’t have it loaded to its capacity but I did put a hydration carrier and a velocity quad 5.56 placard on it and I could not believe how comfortable I was. You could spend several hours in the mepc and still be able to focus on the task instead of pulling on your shoulder straps or front bag to let air in. The price is also great for what you get. Buy with confidence.

I love this carrier. It is the most comfortable I have ever used. Stitching is solid, and the construction is well done. I can wear this under a heavy jacket with 3A soft plates or overt with attached placard with hard plates. It fits RMA plates true to size.
