Q: Where are the products made?

A: Most of our products are sewn in Winona, MN.

Q: When will I know my order has shipped?

A: Once all of your items have been completed, we will send you an updated email with a tracking number for your order.

Q: Lead Time?

A: Most of our products are made by hand in Winona, MN. Your lead time starts the business day after an order is placed. Changes in the lead time after your order is received will not impact your order. We will send you an updated email with a tracking number once the order has shipped.

Q: Can I make changes to my order?

A: Once orders have been processed, we can not make changes. We can, however, work with you to issue store credit that can be used to place the corrected order. Please send us an email, and we can get it sorted out.

Q: Can I return or exchange my order?

A: Most orders are eligible for our 30-day return window. For more details, please visit our Policies page.

Q: How do I start a return or exchange?

A: Please use the form located on our Contact Page to initiate the process.

Q: Do you have a MIL/LE discount?

A: Yes, we do. To take advantage of our program, please create an account and fill out the form found on our Contact page.

Q. Can I customize products beyond what’s listed online?

A: No. Custom options are limited to what’s provided on each product page.

Q. How does the Defense Mechanisms Rewards Program Work?

A: There are multiple ways to earn points towards store credit, which you can find here (link to rewards page). Start by creating or signing in to your DM account. The main way is by simply shopping in the store; each dollar spent is a point earned. Then all you have to do is redeem the points for store credit, which will then be automatically added to your next order.

Q. Will the APOC work with X brand of inserts?

A: The APOC is specifically designed around either the BALCS cut or the ONYX cut armor. We have seen agencies allow the carrier for use with their current issued, non-BALCS, and non-ONYX cut armor. To work best in the carrier, please visit the sizing tab of the product page. Here we list the key measurements of the carrier. Please select the size that accommodates the largest measurement on your inserts.

Q. What size belt should I order?

A: Our belts have a wide adjustment range. The best way to size yourself is to measure around your body where the belt will sit on your body. Take this measurement to the sizing tab and select the size that sets you towards the middle of the adjustment range.
