Rifle Sling Setup Simplified: A Step-by-Step Guide to setup your Defense Mechanisms Rifle Sling

Step One: Ensure weapon is unloaded

Step Two: With the front of the sling (end closest to the adjuster) run the webbing through the QD and then back through the Triglide

Step Three: It should look like this

Step Four: On the end of the sling (the other side) run the webbing through the QD and then back through the Triglide

Step Five: This is where you will make your adjustment for length

Step Six: Ensure the Triglide is close to the QD, to prevent restricting proper rifle stock placement. Excess length can then be cut off.

Step Seven: To stow, ensure adjuster is all the way forward

Step Eight: Pull the dongle through the elastic keepers. Ensuring it is under all three

Step Nine: Holding the loop lock, pull dongle to the rear. This will tighten the sling to the rifle

Step Ten: If stowing in the short configuration, you will notice additional slack

Step Eleven: Holding the dongle, pull bottommost layer of webbing toward the muzzle. This will tighten the sling against the rifle

Step Twelve: Make a small Z shaped fold

Step Thirteen: Slide elastic keeper over, to hold that fold into place
