Defense Mechanisms offers three placard wrap options: the Slick Placard Wrap, the MOLLE Placard Wrap, and the Elastic Placard Wrap. Although the front remains slick, this wrap still includes MOLLE cutouts on each side. These side cutouts allow you to direct-mount small accessories such as flashlight pouches, OC pouches, mini cutter pouches, or other single-row MOLLE-compatible items. This makes the Slick Placard Wrap a strong choice for users who want a clean front while still keeping a small amount of side-mounted capability.

MOLLE Placard Wrap

The MOLLE Placard Wrap adds more external mounting capability while keeping the placard system organized and adaptable. It includes the same side MOLLE cutouts as the Slick Placard Wrap, but adds front-facing Velcro and MOLLE for additional customization.

This wrap is a good option for users who need to mount external pouches, Velcro accessories, blood type patches, or agency identifiers. It accepts a 9x4 identifier patch, which matches the rear identifier size used on Defense Mechanisms carriers. For agencies, this can help simplify patch sizing by allowing the same identifier format to be used on both the front and back of the kit.

Elastic Placard Wrap

The Elastic Placard Wrap is designed for users who want built-in storage without adding extra pouches. The small size includes three elastic pockets across the front, while the large size includes four. Both sizes also feature pass-through side pockets with added space for small tools or mission-specific items.

The front elastic pockets can fit items up to the size of an AR-15 magazine, but they are better suited for smaller administrative tools, multi-tools, door wedges, or similar accessories. Elastic pockets are easy to draw from, but they are not as fast or easy to re-index into as dedicated pouches. For items that need to be accessed and replaced quickly, a dedicated Side Ride Pouch may still be the better choice.
