Tactical Gear Drop: What’s New from Defense Mechanisms
We want to take a couple of minutes to go over some of our new products and recent updates, give you a look at what’s new, and what to keep an eye out for.

New 9x4 Custom Patch
We’ve added a new 9x4 size to our custom patch lineup, the perfect fit for small placard wraps.
It’ll also fit large placard wraps with a bit of loop velcro on either side. This size is ideal for Recondites, Sustainment Bags, and Barricade Bags, especially if you need larger agency identifiers. If you’ve been asking for a bigger patch, we’ve got you covered.
Breaching Tool Holder (Update)
We made a few tweaks to the Belt Mount Breaching Tool Holder, designed to make production cleaner, reduce fraying, and improve consistency. We’ve reshaped it slightly, now with a D-shape that optimizes space where the tool sits, replacing the older bell-style layout.
What is the Good Dude Bar Sleeve?
We’re also introducing the Good Dude Bar Sleeve, designed specifically for the Good Dude Bar (though it’ll feel familiar if you’ve used our Mini Bar Sleeve).
We added a bit of articulation between the velcro and elastic stitching for extra flexibility, allowing it to mount on any loop field, front, back, or side.
Pro tip: Mount the pointed end toward your plates, not your ribs.
What is new on with the Collapsible Gas Mask Bag V3
Our Collapsible Gas Mask Bag now features the Quick-Open Flap System (previously on the waist-mount version). This upgrade allows for fast, one-pull access and smoother zipper staging.
We’ve also streamlined the back, cleaning up the leg strap setup and converting MOLLE straps into belt-mountable slots for easier configuration.
Same reliable function, just smarter design.
Flapped OC Spray Pouch and Other OC Related Updates
Departments asked for it, so we built it, a flapped OC pouch for those who need secure carry options.
It supports both MK3 and MK4 canisters, and the update carries across all OC pouch variants, including Side Ride, Placard Expansion, and standard open-top versions.
What is a Fast Litter Carrier?
Last but not least, the Fast Litter Carrier. This 3-piece system was built with team use in mind and supports both the QuickLitter Lite and the R.E.E.L. Non-Rigid Litter from North American Rescue.
It mounts easily to the back of your carrier and deploys ambidextrously with a red pull handle.
Perfect for teams needing scalable casualty carry options, for example, 30 operators all with the male attachment with 10 litters on standby in a vehicle.
We’ll also be offering replacement parts (sleds, tubes, etc.) so you can customize or replace as needed.
