Mission Essential Plate Carrier - MEPC - Closeout

First off, this is an amazing plate carrier, well made and has some features that should be standard on all minimalist carriers. With that said, I am not a small guy… I am 5'10 270 ish and have a very wide chest and back this carrier looked like I was wearing a bib…more concerning for me was I just felt like it was very small when I was wearing it so I question (for me) coverage. Coming from a non minimalistic plate carrier I noticed a huge difference. So beware... I run soft plates and the bottom flap didn't cover the excess material of the actual plate so it had some of it sticking out. It was Very tight fitting, my plates are standard 10x12 and less than in inch thick and It was very very tight. I highly recommend this carrier, outside of my personal fit issues it is probably one of the best Minimalist carriers I have seen to date. The cummerbund is super comfortable, which I will be purchasing separately but a 5" to run with another carrier.

I just got back from the range, on a hot (104 degree) day, running the MEPC. The MEPC felt great. Materials are high quality. Quick detach are top notch and easy to put back together, it directs u in to the proper slot so ur not fumbling trying to re-attach. I put the LA police gear plates in it and they fit perfectly. Running in the carrier, it stays in place. Hugs the body but with the cumber bun - expands for breathing. Good air flow without the bulk. It seems to be a great minimalist carrier with the ability to expand (IFAK pouch in my future maybe). The straps don’t dig in but heavier steel plates could give more of an issue - I wouldn’t mind a bit more padding or an add on piece (they might make one - I haven’t checked yet.) All in it is a good carrier. Plenty of molle and Velcro to do whatever. I’ll run the hell out of it and see what happens. So far, I’m impressed.

Wish I had known about this products sooner, this should have been my first and only carrier, quality control is great, fits like a dream, recommend the shoulder pads though.

This is a Great Quality plate carrier. The carrier is well put together and fits my plates just right, It's light weight and breathable, and is comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I would however suggest buying some shoulder pads for extra comfort. overall I am happy with my purchase.

This product is great for any gravy seal who wants to larp around their house with level 4 plates. Extremely comfortable and very breathable so all your sweat from walking upstairs will easily evaporatate away. Cumberbuns are easily adjustable so anyone who loots your body can wear it with ease. I've looked far and wide to find a plate carrier with as many features as this and to my surprise it even fits my meal team six ass. Colors are great, quality is top notch, and I can finally sweep my own home like a real man when the family is away. Bottom line this carrier is everything you could want so long as you aren't weird and still want to use MOLLE attached mag pouches in 2022. Looking at you Sig.

Absolutely love it. I have ran it on so many range days. Super comfortable and molds to me and moves with me I love it. My only regret is should of gotten it in mutlicam tropic

The MEPC is an affordable plate carrier with some really good features. Angled shoulder straps distribute the weight better on shoulders, adjustable swift clip height, and Large Hesco L210s with plate backers fit well in a Medium MEPC Carrier. MOLLE Back panel for 10 bucks is a no-brainer. For some reason though the fit and finish just seems a bit off for some reason. My plates look like they can kinda rotate a little, and some of the fabric seems bunched up in places. It's actually visible in the MEPC picture thumbnail. Those "wrinkles" don't come out when the plate carrier is on, even with a fully elastic cummerbund. For reference I am 5' 8", athletic build, 160lbs. Still a million times better than an AC-1 just for shoulder strap angle alone. Esstac Kywi placards work great with these, too! Definitely worth the money. They shipped within a few days, delivered in under a week, and they included a dope sticker, too! Love the look, fellas!

This is just an initial impressions but the build quality is fairly good it's definitely a lighter weight construction compared to issued military gear and gear of similar build however the modularity is great and the fit is perfect thicker plates are a little bit tight fitting and as I said I haven't had long to actually run this gear but I do like the plate carrier however the placard system does need work

By far one of the best I’ve worn- comfortable with plates in. I get asked frequently “Is that Crye?” And I happily say no it’s Defense Mechanisms system. Folks try it on and fall in-love with it instantly with my setup to say the least-
